This weekend I had a fantastic weekend and got on brilliantly with the track and also because of the long straight and me being so agile and lightweight meant I had a bit of an advantage down the straight away, but none the less you still had to ride it to still be able to keep with the leading pack.
I had the best qualifying session of my entire carreer at this point in racing, I was staying with the top bunch of riders and also didnt get involved with any fairing bashing as that slows your laptimes down because you and the rider are slowing each other up, I stuck behind them the whole time but after a while I started to find myself being dropped off, but then I stuck in a couple of hot laps and caught them back up, but what I didn’t know is that I had pole position all the way through the qualifying session as the t.v monitors were saying, when I came in my Mum, Dad and little sister were jumping up and down as if they had just won the lottery! and then when I pulled into the garage I was told I qualified in 2nd place! I was gobsmacked! But then I was told that I held pole position right up untill the last lap, but still, 2nd was good enough for qualifying…

In the first race on Saturday the 10th of June I was running an ok race but was a little tense and started to drop back to about 5-6th place, but then as I came into the left hander after the long straight someone decided to pull a desperate manouver and washed my front wheel clean out and then I found myself yet again sliding down the road on my butt!.
The second race I was looking for revenge, but not in a dirty way by taking him out of course but just to beat him fair and square, and I was doing so and was holding third position and was right behind the two leaders, I knew I was faster than them and had it in my head of passing them when the time came, but unfortunately I had another desperate rider trying to get past me and as me and the two leaders came into the Russels chicane the rider behind me took a ridiculous risk and completely overshot the chicane, as I was exiting the chicane not knowing or even thinking about what was going on behind me suddenly I was struck from the side of my bike which sent me flying and also my bike, the other person and his bike but also his front forks and front wheel came loose from his motorcycle and they too were really sent flying, so high that they were about 10-15 foot in the air! Luckily this flying weapon did not hit me or my fellow rival and good friend off the track. (nobody was seriously hurt in this racing incident and I have no hard feelings to my rival and good friend off the track, I was just explaining what happened.)

On Sunday my objectives were not to fall off and try and get a trophy, e.g top three. I was running a great race and had a fantastic battle for second place I later came across the line in 3rd place and was extremely happy with my position.

In the second race I was hoping to repeat the same result as the first race, if not better, I lead from the start as I get good starts because of my experience in motorcross, I led for a lap or two but then fell back a bit and ran a great race to come home on a high in 3rd place.
