I had another great weekend at Brands hatch and I get on very well at Brands as it is one of my favorite tracks, I love the fast long right hander known as paddock hill, it’s great because of the way it swoops down like a rollercoaster, but it is also very easy to go in a bit too hot and end up coming out wide and slow on the exit.

In qualifying on Saturday 13th May I was excited and confident about qualifying and was hoping to improve my best qualifying position from when I was last here earlier on in the year, where I qualified 7th but had some suspension problems during the rest of that weekend. I was running low 57 second laptimes during the qualifying session which wasn’t what I was looking for so unfortunately I qualified in 12th place.

In the first race I was hoping to improve my position from where I had qualified… I did this and had a great race with a few other rivals and finshed in 10th place. In the second race I improved my position again and had another race with the same bunch of riders and finished in 9th position.

On the first race on Sunday I had another good race and finished 10th. and in the second race I had a brilliant race with a lot of changes in positions, it was all very close and then on the last lap I found myself in 9th place going into sears corner with a rider hot on my tail and me hot on someone elses when suddenly the rider in front attemted to pass the rider in front of him but didn’t make it and went straight across the grass, so I took the chance in passing him whilst he was on the grass but as I was getting closer and closer he started to swerve to try and get back on the track, I just managed to get past him as he got on the track again and we must have missed each other by about an inch! In the end I finished in 8th place, my best result so far…
